All-China Women's Federation (ACWF) and China Women's Development Foundation (CWDF) sponsored a new project advocating healthy delivery and child-rearing to new mothers, March 30, in Beijing.
The program is designed to provide new dissemination methods for the distribution of information on maternal and children's health, developing mobile applications to promote interaction between anticipating mothers, and to strengthen relationship between doctors and expecting parents.
Research and investigation regarding mental health of pregnant women is also one of the main objectives of the program, which intends to accomplish its plans for five years, accomodating 10 million women and families with children under 4 years of age.
The CWDF launched the project to work on its concerns on promoting maternal and children's health with the use of the Internet, as people nowadays mainly depend on gathering information on it and mobile phones to meet the needs of incoming Chinese mothers.
China's well-known maternity hospital Beijing Maternal and Child Care Service Center supports the program as it investigates and analyzes psychological circumstances of anticipating mothers at different periods and executes significant numbers of research on the mental health of pregnant women.
Other popular apps for pregnant women in China, Yun Qi Ban Lu ("Pregnancy Companion") and La Ma Bang ("Hot-Momma Help"), help expecting mothers improve themselves and the baby through knowledge from experts.
