‘Destiny 2’ release, update: ‘Destiny 2’ originally planned for September 2015 release [PHOTOS]; ‘Destiny’ April update features weapon changes, Crucible changes, more [UPDATED]

Patch notes for the "Destiny" 2.2.0 update will be released right after the much-anticipated new content goes live on April 12.

After the Washington-based video game developer Bungie released "Destiny's" third expansion pack "The Taken King," fans have been clamoring for information on when the company will release huge content for the game. Fortunately, the American videogame developer answered their prayers when Bungie confirmed that a large expansion pack will be launched this year, and affirmed that the much anticipated full sequel - "Destiny 2" - will be released in 2017.

Ever since Bungie and Activision made the confirmation, fans have been waiting for more details to be revealed about "Destiny 2." It is said that "Destiny's" full sequel, which is rumored to be titled "Beyond Destiny," is expected to be released on summer of 2017; however, to fans' disappointment, rumor has it that the game will be delayed to fall of 2017.

If the rumor is to be believed, this would be the third time that "Destiny 2" release has been delayed. According to We Got This Covered, it was first reported that Bungie has originally planned to release "Destiny's" sequel in 2015. "Destiny 2" 2015 release news came out after a leaked court documents appeared online, during the legal battle between Bungie and its former employee Marty O'Donnell.

Then in accordance to the delay, much to the surprise of hardcore "Destiny" payers, the sequel was pushed back again to 2016, then the company finally confirmed that the game will be released come 2017.

Meanwhile, once the game is out in the market, Activision is also said to release "Destiny 2" to Nintendo's new console, Nintendo NX, wherein they will introduce not only beta version of the game, but will also release a huge DLC for it.

On other news, "Destiny" update 2.2.0 live stream has just ended but a full recap will be presented this week. In addition, patch notes for the said update will be released right after the much-anticipated new content goes live on April 12. The upcoming "Destiny" update 2.2.0 will bring many changes to the game's Warlock class, reviving basics, crucible balancing and even in weapon types and functions, Games Radar reported.

"Destiny" April update comes for free to PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One gamers of "Destiny: The Taken King."
