Reeling clubs Valencia CF (8-13-10, 34 points) and Sevilla FC (13-9-9, 48 points) will both try to put a stop to their separate losing streaks as they face each other at the Mestalla Stadium on Sunday, April 10th for a 2015-2016 La Liga matchup.

Valencia is currently on a downward spiral with a four-game losing slide. The team had also lost five of its last six matches which dropped them to the 15th spot of the league table, precariously six points above the bottom three relegation zone with seven matchdays left in the season.

Their last game was a disappointing 1-2 loss to lowly club Las Palmas at the Estadio Gran Canaria last Saturday, as reported by BBC Sport.

Los Che midfielder Rodrigo drew first blood right at the third minute of the match for manager Pako Ayestarán's side and held on to the one-point lead up until the halftime break. Los Amarillos fought back in the second half as midfielder Jonathan Viera equalized the game via a penalty kick at the 50th.

However, an own goal from Els Taronges' German defender Shkodran Mustafi three minutes after the hour mark gave the game away to the hosts with the three points in the overall standings.

Meanwhile, Sevilla dropped a sorry 1-2 decision to 10-man squad Real Sociedad at their home field of Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium last Sunday, as per ESPN.

Another own goal, this time from Los Rojiblancos' Polish midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak at the 34th minute, also decided the match after Sociedad's Markel Bergara and Sevillistas' Kevin Gameiro scored a goal each at the second and 51st minutes respectively.

Head coach Unai Emery's boys were not able to take advantage of Bergara's sending off at the 68th to try and equalize or overtake Txuriurdin as they fell to their second consecutive defeat.

Sevilla is now at the seventh spot of the league table, nine points behind the fourth and final Champions League qualification berth currently held by Villarreal CF.

The predicted result is a close 2-1 win for Sevilla.

Valencia starting lineup (4-4-2 formation): Alves; Barragan, Mustafi, Santos, Siqueira; Parejo, Danilo, Fuego, Piatti; Rodrigo, Alcacer

Sevilla starting lineup (4-2-3-1 formation): Rico; Mariano, Rami, Kolodziejczak, Tremoulinas; Pepe, Krychowiak; Reyes, Banega, Vitolo; Gameiro
