Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth's net worth increases after "The Bachelorette" 2015

“The Bachelorette” 2015 couple Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth has been plagued with break up rumors since they got engaged last year. While they have incessantly denied these speculations, Bristowe recently admitted that she did not sign up for the reality show to find love, instead she merely wanted to build her brand.

Speaking to Ted x Vancouver, Bristowe confessed that meeting Booth was just one of the bonuses of being on "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette." She explained that she wanted to be honest to her fans and admitted that she wanted to widen her influence. Bristowe, however, was quick to add that she did not do it to get famous.

"It wasn't about fame, or I'm going to get famous, and people are gonna know who I am. It was more about doing something greater than what I was already doing and having a platform to do so," Bristowe said.

Bristowe's statement, as honest and upfront as she was about her intentions for being on "The Bachelorette," definitely surprised some fans of the ABC series. To make matters worse, no one actually knows what Bristowe did before going on the reality show. According to Starpulse, even Reality Steve had no idea what she did before signing up for "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette." She also did not talk about her career to any of the contestants.

If Bristowe's main goal was to widen her influence by joining "The Bachelorette," it definitely worked out for her. According to Wetpaint, Bristowe and Booth already has a collective net income of #3 million, most of them coming from brands willing to pay a boatload of money just to get mentioned on social media.

During the interview, Bristowe admitted that some fans were disappointed to see a lot of endorsements on her Instagram and Twitter feed. She shared that her social media accounts turned into a business after "The Bachelorette"

"I used to pepper my Instagram feed with, 'Buy this teeth whitening. I use it.' It turns into this business and the 15 minutes of fame comes with followers and followers equal... It's a powerful platform to build a business and you have to stay true to who's following you, who's invested in your life and your happiness and work with them too."
