Now that "Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice" is on the books, fans are now looking forward to the next DCMU film coming out this August, "Suicide Squad." Also, Jared Leto's portrayal of The Joker is perhaps one of the most discussed subjects in the film.

Now, Joker's true identity has always been a mystery for fans. In fact, Batman has failed to uncover the true identity of his arch nemesis despite having vast resources in the comics. But this time, fans just might get that in the upcoming film as it is reported that Robin, Batman's sidekick, will be Jared Leto's Joker, Radio Times reported.

There is a theory that sprung out of a scene from "BVS" where a suit, believed to be Robin's, was vandalized with the words, "HAHAHA Joke's on you Batman." Now, looking at Jared Leto's "Suicide Squad" Joker costume, there are scars found in his shoulders, while the vandalized costume can be seen with damage around the same area.

The storyline closest to this possibility was when The Joker nearly killed Jason Todd's Robin. However, he survived and eventually became The Red Hood. But, in the DCMU version, "BVS" Batman was seen killing some thugs which probably mean he did not hesitate killing the original Joker to give justice to his partner. Due to the trauma he received, this paves way to Robin (Leto) to don the mantle of The Joker, the report stated.

Meanwhile, rumor has it "Suicide Squad" will be just as dark as "BVS" despite the trailer looking comical and light. David Betancourt and Michael Cavna of Washington Post discussed the film and they believe Warner Bros. and DC might be a bit alarmed with the lukewarm reception on "BVS" dark approach.

Hence, the production team might lighten up the film and make some last-minute changes. Fortunately, the film cast includes Will Smith, Margot Robbie and Leto who have experience on the field and add a few more comic gags during the film. Here is the latest "Suicide Squad" trailer released by Warner Bros. UK featuring The Joker, more interaction between the squad and Batman's cameo.
