The California-based company is set to unwrap its new VR line. The said unveiling will happen at the National Association of Broadcasters event, which will be held in Las Vegas, Mashable reported.

The new GoPro Omni VR camera has six synchronized cameras that was arranged in what is called a spherical array. The Hero 4 cameras can be purchased for $4, 999. It is available for pre-order starting Monday at the company's website.

Its price is a lot cheaper than the high-end GoPro Odyssey. The 16-camera VR device, which was launched late last year, is priced at $15,000.

The cameras come with an aluminum rig that was specifically made lightweight in order to capture action shots. It will also let its users take 8K video.

The new Omni camera will feature Kolor, which is a video editing software that allows users to put together all the recorded video into one spherical video. The action camera manufacturer was able to get hold of Kolor when GoPro procured the startup company a year ago.

Additionally, the company is also set to unveil GoPro VR. It is a website and free app platform rolled into one where VR content from all over the world can be displayed. It will also enable the sharing of the said content.

Meanwhile, the GoPro mobile app, which was launched yesterday, will allow iPhone users to see 360-degree and virtual reality content. The VR mode can also be used, which will split the video making it attuned to the VR headsets currently available for iPhone, 9to5 Mac reported.

The app will also allow users to move their "iPhone in any direction to navigate into the video." This is in addition to dragging the finder that can be found on the display that permits to change views in the 360 degree videos.
