Although Valve has remained quiet about the whole “Left 4 Dead 3” rumor, fans are saying that the game will be released by early next year, while “Half Life 3” is going to have a 2018 release date.

There is no official information from Valve concerning the release date of "Left 4 Dead 3," but speculations point towards a 2017 release.

Rumor mills have it that a former Valve staff, Minh Le aka Gooseman, confirmed that the game developer company is currently doing the third installment in the "Left 4 Dead" franchise. According to Express, Valve wants to discover new materials to make the much-awaited game more exciting for players before releasing it in 2017.

"Left 4 Dead 2" was a big hit when it was released, and therefore, it is not surprising that avid fans are now clamoring for the third installment to be released. The fanbase has been waiting for the game for several years now, and they are hoping that some information surface this year. In fact, there are speculations that the highly anticipated zombie game will be launched during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 at the Los Angeles Convention Center in California this coming June.

There appears to be likelihood concerning the rumored E3 release, according to a different report by the same publication. The source revealed that the game developer, Valve Corporation, is prioritizing "Left 4 Dead 3" over "Half Life" sequel that is being developed by Valve. Apparently, the game developer is considering the wishes of avid fans for a follow up sequel to the "Left 4 Dead" franchise.

Besides the release date, more rumors have emerged on the internet about the characters to feature in the upcoming game. Previous reports indicated that "Left 4 Dead" will feature four major characters.

The development team of "Left 4 Dead 3" will incorporate one female character and three male characters. The female character will be Katherine, while the three male characters are Irvin aka the gangster, a Kenpo fighter called Garrett Kr., and the comic book geek, Keenan.
