Filipino singer-songwriter Yeng Constantino was very happy to have been chosen to interpret one of the soundtracks of the upcoming movie version of the widely popular game, "Angry Birds." She performed the female version of Norwegian DJ Matoma's "Wonderful Life (Mi Oh My)."
The singer is flattered that her voice has been singled out for the project, though there have been a lot of choices. The song is in male version but the Angry Birds production wanted a female version and they preferred an Asian to do it, Constantino told the PEP and other reporters in an interview. She admitted she does not know how she was able to be chosen.
The project is a collaboration between Warner Philippines and Star Music and she recorded the album with them. The "Angry Birds Movie" is set to be released on May 20. The Hollywood film features voices of stars including that of Peter Dinklage who portrays Tyrion in "Game of Thrones," Bill Hader of "Fear in Inside Out" and Josh Gad of "Olaf of Frozen."
The Angry Birds film's soundtrack companion has the brand new rendition of "Explode" by global pop star Charli XCX, "Fight" by Steve Aoki and "I Will Survive" by pop sensation Demi Lovato. Also featured in the soundtrack are songs from the Angry Birds movie's cast, The Hatchlings and Peter Dinklage, reported INQ Pop!
Classic songs are likewise part of the movie's soundtrack, such as "Rock You Like A Hurricane" by the Scorpions, "Never Gonna Give You Up" by Rick Astley and "On Top of the World" by Imagine Dragons. Grammy award-winning score composer Heitor Pereira contributed in the film's OST as well with his "Angry Birds Movie Score Medley."
Constantino was equally happy for being part of the Divas Live Manila concert set on November 11 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum where she will share the stage with other Filipino talents like Kyla, Angeline Quinto, Rachelle Ann Go and KZ Tandingan. She admitted she is very excited to work with her fellow artists, she told the Philippine Entertainment Portal Inc.'s online news site.
