'Pokémon Sun and Moon' are the next new games in the Pokémon franchise.

Director of "Pokemon" video game series Junichi Masuda has released a trailer revealing the latest details of "Pokemon Sun and Moon."  The video shows details of regions where players will explore, starter "Pokemon," legendaries, as well as the release date of the game.

As seen in the trailer, "Pokemon Sun and Moon" fans will be exploring the tropical region of Alola with the choice of Litten, Popplio, and Rowlet, which are the starter "Pokemon." The three have different abilities and will come with the standard ability for starters.

Their abilities will increase the power of a specific attack: Blaze for fire, Overgrow for grass, and Torrent for water. Additionally, each will come with their own attack element to take advantage of STAB from the get-go.

According to GameZone, Rowlet has the ability to attack without making a sound. It flies silently through the skies, moving near its opponent in stealth, and then smashing them with powerful kicks. It can also take on the enemy from a distance using its razor-sharp leaves, which form part of its feathers.

Litten, on the other hand, is a Fire Cat "Pokemon" who is considered logical, but passionate. It always remains cool-headed and does not reveal its real emotions on the surface.

Lastly, there is Popplio who swims at a speed that exceeds 25 mph. It moves better in water than on land and takes advantage of the elasticity of its balloons to execute acrobatic stunts and jumps.

Besides the starter "Pokemon," the video shows the first look into "Sun and Moon" legendaries, which according to rumors, will be named "Solgaleo" and "Lunaala." The "Sun" legendary looks like a Lion while that of the "Moon" resembles a bat.

The trailer gameplay did not confirm the legendary names, but more leaks on the same are expected sometime soon. "Pokemon Sun and Moon" fans are focussing on the "Pokemon" company's announcements for a detailed report, Game Rant has learned.

However, the most important revelation about "Pokemon Sun and Moon," according to fans, is the confirmation of the release date of the game, which will be Nov 18, 2016.
