BTS' Jungkook admitted to hospital, will miss out all promotional activities

BTS, also known as Bangtan Boys is a seven-member South Korean boy group formed by Big Hit Entertainment.

BTS member Jungkoo, whose real name is Jeon Jung Kook, has been admitted to hospital due to high fever and flu. The 18-year-old idol will be missing out the group's upcoming promotions and activities for their special compilation album.

BTS' agency, Big Hit Entertainment, took to Twitter on May 11 to announce Jungkook's appearance at the fan signing event today has been cancelled and that it would be difficult for group's vocalist, dancer to be on any music shows or fan signing events in the following week.

"Today, Jungkook went to the hospital because of a high fever and was given the diagnosis of the flu. Afterwards, the medical specialist suggested that his condition be monitored," Bit Hit Entertainment said, as translated by All K-Pop. "We are asking for the fans' understanding."

The entertainment label went ahead to reassure fans that the remaining six other members will carry out all the schedules as planned. They also apologize for stressing all the fans who have been anticipating the event.

The uprising seven-member boy group is poised to hold a comeback stage performance in the much-awaited Mnet Countdown on May 12; May 13 on KBS Music Bank; May 14 on MBS Music Core and May 15 on SBS Inkigayo, News Everyday reported.

Further, BTS currently holds a world tour called "BTS Live Hwa Yang Yeon Hwa on Stage: Epilogue," wherein a total of seven countries is on the itinerary. After the group first kicked off a two-day promotional concert in Seoul on May 7-8, BTS will continue to head on their tour to Taipei, Taiwan on June 9, before heading for Cotai, Macau and Nanjing, China.

Thereafter, the boys will hold the much-awaited concert in Osaka and Nagoya in Japan from July 12 to July 16. BTS will then visit their local fans in mainland China, Philippines, and Thailand, before wrapping up the world tour concert in Tokyo, Japan on August 13.
