In late April, the Hallyu star posed for Vogue Korea when he was spotted by the magazine's staff while he was en route to Hong Kong to attend "Dior Homme 2016-2016 Winter Collective Live Show." They also shared photos of the actor on the show's red carpet, as well as a photo of him with Dior Homme's Artistic Director Kris Van Assche, who also designed Song's black and red checkered suit.
The actor is currently busy prepping for his upcoming Japanese historical film called "Battleship Island (Gunhamdo)." Song previously announced his plans to sport a total bald look for his new role - independent key fighter Park Moo-Young - in the film.
With an intended released in early 2017, it has been learned that the filming will start in mid-July. The production team is aiming to recreate the Hashima Island by building a 6,600 square meter film set on the former United States' Army base called Camp Page, also known as K-47 Air Base, situated in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province.
The film recounts the concealed dark history of around 400 conscripted Koreans who stage a daring escape in the 6.3-hectare island after they were compelled to work under the cold blooded conditions and merciless treatment in the undersea coal mines by the Japanese soldiers in 1930s. It will be directed by Ryu Seung-Wan and features an ensemble cast, including Hwang Jung Min; So Ji Sub, and Lee Jung Hyun, Kpop Buddy has learned.
