President of Mobile Communications Business of Samsung DJ Koh presents the new Samsung Galaxy S7 and Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, the predecessors of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Edge.

Samsung fans will be glad to know that the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Edge will have even better specs than the current Galaxy S7 line with 6GB RAM and a 4K AMOLED display.

There are a few more months before the South Korean tech giant will reveal their new flagship phone. However, rumors and speculations already claim how powerful the Galaxy S8 would be.

While some reports claim that Samsung is still holding back on the 4K AMOLED screen for their phones, 2017 could be the year when it will finally use the display. In addition, the 4K screens on computers and TVs today are becoming more common thanks to Moore's Law.

Samsung has not yet confirmed any of the speculations yet. However, most of the rumors last year before the S7 release turned out to be true with minimal errors.

The Galaxy S8 would sport a 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display, ValueWalk has learned. Even if it will not be featuring a 4K resolution, it could at least sport a 2K display.

Joining the Galaxy S8 Edge and the Galaxy Note 6 could be Samsung's new Galaxy X which would be the company's first foldable phone. Reports claim that it will even become a hybrid laptop because of its foldability.

Fingerprint sensors are slowly appearing on more Android smartphones today. The new flagship from Samsung will have a different kind of sensor.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is rumored to feature an Iris scanner that would make use of the user's eyes instead of the fingerprint. It will be faster and more secure than current security measures.

Concept renders of the phone even show a metal design. There is really no leaked info yet about what the next flagship phone from Samsung will look in terms of the physical appearance.

The new concept renders for the Galaxy S8 look all metal from the front down to the rear, Phones Review reported. Apple is reportedly making a glass model design for their iPhone 8 and Samsung's move could be the exact opposite.

In terms of storage, the lowest variant could be 32 GB for the internal memory. The RAM could reach up to 6GB which is already surpassing the current phones today. It was recently revealed that there was a LPDDR4 DRAM chip with 10nm architecture in the hands of the South Korean tech company.

Samsung fans should wait for the official announcement regarding the Galaxy S8 and the Galaxy S8 Edge with the 6GB RAM or the 4K AMOLED display. Nevertheless, it is obvious that the specs will be better than the current generation.
