Its official, HTC will reveal its latest smartphone on April 12. HTC finally confirmed the newest addition to their smartphone portfolio, though it has no name yet but hints about what it will be called points out to HTC 10. The company provided a "#powerof10" hashyag, which serves as an obvious clue about its name.
Although the specifications of this smartphone are still unknown, it is safe to say that HTC would likely match the flagships of its rivals such as Samsung's Galaxy S7 and LG's G5. The competition in the smartphone industry is getting tougher and stiffer, and HTC would not want to be left behind by its competitors.
The mystery of this gadget's look has fade off due to the leaked images provided by Evan Blass (American Blogger, Editor, Phone Leaker). With the given photos, the appearance of the latest flagship indicates that HTC is no longer fond of on-screen buttons, because the HTC 10 has a physically built home button in between, with capacitive back and multitasking. Like the One A9, HTC 10 also has a fingerprint censored home button.
Gadget enthusiasts think that the smartphone's design is a combination of the A9 and M9. The front has a curve look with a diagonal aluminum frame that narrows down to the edges, but HTC users should not expect for the boom sound speakers which has been substituted (given the photos) with a bottom-facing single speaker. The camera might have a laser autofocus port.
It seems like there is no actual physical venue of where the device will be unveiled. In fact, HTC is once again opting to launch its newest flagship over the internet. According to HTC, it would reveal its current addition to its smartphone lineup on its official website this April 12, 2016 at exactly 8pm in Taipei, 8am in New York, 1pm in London.
Nevertheless, the launch is less than a month away, so HTC fans can expect for further spoilers before April 12.
