AMD is expected to finally reveal their new Polaris 10, 11 GPUs at the upcoming Computex 2016 plus it was able to beat the GTX Titan X in 3DMark benchmark results.
More people prefer NVIDIA's video cards for their performance and quality but AMD seems to have stepped up its game as their new Polaris GPU video card was able to beat the GTX Titan X by a significant amount. Of course, the GTX 1080 was still at the top of the results.
NVIDIA has already unveiled the GTX 1080 and the cheaper but still powerful GTX 1070. AMD is still quiet about the specs of their new video cards.
PC users who are budget-conscious tend to stick with the Radeon video cards simply because they are less expensive. However, they are also often beaten by their competitor's GPUs even if they are not cheap.
AMD executives have announced that they will finally be unveiling their new Polaris 10 and Polaris 11 GPUs at the upcoming 2016 event, ChristianToday has learned. The company's A-Series processors will also be revealed at the said conference show.
Both video cards are expected to take on the GTX 1080 and the GTX 1070. With the recent benchmark results, some users are now excited to see what more the cards can offer and if they would have the higher price-to-value ratio.
There are no official names yet but the AMD Polaris 11 GPU could be called the Radeon R9 480X. The 3DMark benchmark results show a nearly 3000 difference in the scores between the AMD Polaris 67DF:C7 CF and the GTX Titan X, Videocardz reported.
However, the CF in the name means that it was the Crossfire version of the card. Users would to stack two Polaris 11 GPUs in order to beat the Titan X in the first place and to gather a score that is almost close to the GTX 1080.
The price tag could still save the new video cards from being ignored by PC gamers entirely. It would certainly be cheaper than NVIDIA's new video cards.
AMD fans will have to wait for the official announcement regarding the Polaris 10 and the Polaris 11 GPU at the upcoming Computex 2016. The benchmark scores against the GTX Titan X are also impressive.
