It was just a couple of days ago when the hit Fox television series, "Gotham," wrapped up its second season. With the series' renewal for a third season, various speculations came out that Penguin, played by Robin Lord Taylor, will be in deep confusion on how his former master, Fish Mooney, played by Jada Pinkett Smith, survived.

It can be recalled that the finale episode of "Gotham" Season 2 featured Fish jumping to a bus in an attempt to escape the Arkham Asylum, along with the freaks of Dr. Strange, played by B.D. Wong. However, Penguin with the assistance of Butch, played by Drew Powell, utilized their guns and opened fire at the vehicle before the bus could even go to a distance because the two thought that Dr. Strange is on that bus.

The vehicle eventually crashed, but when the two checked what is inside, they were surprised to find Fish, who appears to be perfectly fine. With the shocking reality they have witnessed, Penguin loss his consciousness and fell to the ground, while Butch immediately escaped the scene in fear for his life. That is why rumors have been loud that Penguin is going to be puzzled and shall accept the fact that Fish is not going anywhere, Zap2it reported.

According to the same publication, an interview with the executive producer of "Gotham," John Stephens, revealed that they want Pinkett to reprise her role in "Gotham" Season 3, and that they are planning on the possible storylines that will feature Pinkett's Fish Mooney during the first episodes of the third season.

On the other hand, when the lead protagonist of the series, Ben Mckenzie, who plays James Gordon, was interviewed by Indie Wire, the actor hinted that his character in "Gotham" Season 3 is not going to be the type of police commander that will follow whatever Batman tells him to. Mckenzie added that fans will be surprised on who his character will build up.

Meanwhile, although there is no official announcement yet, reports are saying that "Gotham" Season 3 will premiere this fall under the same network.
