The Samsung Galaxy Note 6 Edge concept is rendered

Samsung could be launching a Galaxy Note 6 Edge and a Lite version as a new leaked import data shows several device codes that pertains to the new flagship phablet.

The South Korean tech giant has not yet officially revealed the Galaxy Note 6 or its variants but there are already several reports claiming the specs and other features. New import data shows that Samsung has imported a metal mask for a device with the code "SM-N935G" which has not yet been seen in the past.

SM in the code means Samsung and the letter N pertains to their Note line of devices. The number five means it would be an Edge variant which could confirm the company's decision to launch the phablet with a curved edge screen similar to the Galaxy S7 Edge and the previous Galaxy Note 4.

The new N935G code then means that Samsung could be releasing a Galaxy Note 6 Edge variant, Forbes has learned. Samsung's previous code names for their devices has not changed and the new one would not be an exception.

There are also rumors that the company will be renaming the flagship phablet to the Galaxy Note 7 instead in order to stay consistent throughout the numbering of their devices and to compete with the iPhone 7 from Apple. Sadly, the code does not offer anything that can confirm the speculation.

Zauba import data has also shown earlier that there could be a lite version of the Galaxy Note 6, SlashGear reported. The said version could be a downgraded variant that would be cheaper for budget-conscious consumers.

The phablet could feature the new 6GB LPDDR4 RAM module that Samsung revealed several weeks ago. Some even say that it can feature a 4K screen with a new Bio Blue screen tech that would surpass their current OLED panel in terms of energy efficiency, brightness and vividness of the colors.

Samsung will be launching the Galaxy Note 6 and the Galaxy Note 6 Edge variant sometime in August. The specs would have to confirmed and if there would be a lite version that some reports have been talking about.
