After a spate of female body parts viral photos of Weibo, it’s the turn of Chinese men to be naughty on social media. On Wednesday, a young Chinese man became viral with his video when he was filmed setting his crotch accidentally on fire.
On Thursday, a young man in Beijing became the hottest topic on Weibo because of his viral photos showing him streaking on the city’s hutongs. The man was photographed on Tuesday initially running in the central Houhai area with just a white bath towel wrapped around his waist, reported What’s on Weibo.
By Thursday, he was the top trending topic on Weibo under the hashtag Houhai Streaker. Residents who saw the streaker said he was saying something while streaking, but they were unsure if someone was running after him.
Among the theories raised by residents why the man is running around with just a bath towel include he is an actor shooting a movie, he was caught in the act having sex or he was a bored man.
In early 2016, five men in Wuhan were photographed running naked early in the morning. The nude runners were young and fit, reported Jiangsu News.
Three years ago, campus police arrested two young men streaking inside the Peking University, running with sex dolls.
China’s law says people who expose their naked body in public or expose their private parts deliberately could be jailed for 5 to 10 days. If the exposure was done with children below 14 years old witnessing the incident, the prison term could be loner at 10 to 15 days. But if the exhibitionists have mental health problems, they would not be detained.
A resident of the hutongs where the Beijing streaker runs said he had seen the young man do it before. He thinks the youth is just a free-spirited person.
