“GTA 6” is Rockstar Games' rumored sequel to GTA 5 that will likely be released for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

It has been almost 3 years ago when Rockstar Games released its fifth installment of the "Grand Theft Auto" franchise, and now that the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) will start this June 14, new rumors are pointing to a possibility that Rockstar may finally announce details of "GTA 6" in the said event.

According to reports, the game's developer is aiming to provide fans details of "GTA 6" at the E3 event. Despite of this loud speculation coming from fans, Rockstar Games has not officially released a statement relating to the issue, yet the franchise's supporters are said to be very consistent in pointing to the game's likely revelation, Christian Times reported.

The same publication also cited that Rockstar Games is currently pre-occupied with the downloadable contents of "GTA V," and is quite busy as well in providing updates for its "GTA Online."

It was also highlighted that even if rumors are loud that the developers are planning to give details about "GTA 6" at E3, the game may still not be available until 2018. The information was based on Rockstar Games' pattern when it released "GTA IV" in 2008, then followed by "GTA V" in 2013, which seems to have a five-year interval.

On the other hand, according to N4BB, the chance of releasing "GTA 6" may be slimmer to date. The reason behind it is the lack of interest of the fans in regards to the franchise. The report cited that there was a decrease last year in terms of the number of gamers playing "GTA Online," from the month of July to August.

However, despite the decline, Rockstar Games said on its twitter account that "GTA Online" is bringing more money on their table. With that said, rumors are leading to details that the developer may not work on "GTA 6," but instead focus its attention in improving "GTA Online," which was said to have a lesser operational cost yet providing the company with large profits.

As of the moment, Rockstar Games remain silent with regards to any official release or announcement of "GTA 6."
