It was just in 2015 when "The Seven Deadly Sins" concluded its first 24-episode season. Given that the second installment was already announced to have a 2016 premiere, fans are quite disappointed to know that another one year delay may happen. Rumors has it that "The Seven Deadly Sins" Season 2's plot is not yet ready, and Nakaba Suzuki is still working on the sequel's storyline.
A promotional video was released late last year that may have verified the release date of "The Seven Deadly Sins" Season 2, wherein at the end of the advertisement, a 2016 date was clearly shown. However, a contradicting report says that Suzuki failed to complete the whole chapters of "The Seven Deadly Sins" Season 2, which may cause the franchise to delay its premiere until 2017, Counsel and Heal News has learned.
According to the same publication, there is still a chance though for the second season to air on the small screen this year; however, it may not be possible for its English-dubbed version to do the same, and that it may not be out until next year.
As of the moment, there is no firm confirmation yet on whether "The Seven Deadly Sins" Season 2 would definitely be available within the year or until 2017. Despite of that, fans are still hoping that the second season will finally hit the small screen sooner.
Meanwhile, in regards to the plot of the anticipated "The Seven Deadly Sins" Season 2, reports suggest that Season 2 is going to feature a new group of villain, namely Ten Commandments. It was also said that the new enemies coming from the Demon Clan will be busy attacking the series' protagonists.
Speculations are also loud that the upcoming season may end up focusing on the immortal Ban. Rumors are saying that Ban will have a story arc in "The Seven Deadly Sins" Season 2 that will center on his quest to resurrect an important person in his life. If this rumor is to be believed, there is a high possibility that the story arcs in the manga are going to be followed by the anime series.
