It was just recently when the hit series, "Jane The Virgin," concluded its second installment on the CW network. Since the series was already renewed for a third season, rumors are leading to details that Season 3 may tackle abortion and postpartum depression plots.
According to Vanity Fair, the executive producer of the series, Jennie Snyder Urman, provided some hints on what to expect next season. Urman revealed that "Jane The Virgin" Season 3 is going to be tough for Jane's mother, Xiomara (Xo), played by Andrea Navedo. The showrunner revealed that Xiomara is ready to be with Rogelio, played by Jaime Camil, but her pregnancy keeps her from doing it.
Urman also confirmed that it was Esteban, played by Keller Wortham, who got Xiomara pregnant during their romance, when the latter was in deep confusion. Urman added that Jane's mother may utilize other ways about her pregnancy, as Xo has already said on the previous episodes that she has no plans of having another child. With that said, speculations are loud that Xiomara may consider in aborting her baby.
On the other hand, Morning News USA revealed that "Jane The Virgin" Season 3 may also focus on a postpartum depression story arc. It is said that Petra, played by Yael Groblas, is having a tough time after giving birth to her twins. It was also reported that Pertra's postpartum depression issue may be an important storyline next season.
Meanwhile, regarding to the fate of Michael, played by Brett Dier, it might be continued next season. It can be recalled that Michael was left wounded after being shot by Rose, played by Bridget Regan. It was also noted that the actor gave a clue that he would survive the gunshot, but it would not be easy for him to recover mentally. His trauma in the incident was said to affect his relationship with his wife, Jane, played by Gina Rodriguez.
As of the moment, no official confirmation has been revealed by The CW network in terms of the release date of "Jane The Virgin" Season 3.
