The latest details for "Persona 5" will feature new plans at E3 2016, a western release date next year and premium edition bonuses.
It seems that Atlus announced the western release date of "Persona 5" for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 consoles on Feb. 14, 2017. In addition, Atlus revealed two packs for the game, the steel book launch edition and the "Take Your Heart" premium edition, which is only available for the PS4.
The "Take Your Heart" premium edition will feature several bonuses such as the game's soundtrack CD which features songs from Japanese composer Shoji Meguro along with a special art work for the game. A four inch plush toy for Phantom Thieve member and game mascot Morgana, a 64-page hardcover book that contains concept sketches, character art and designs from character designer Shigenori Soejima. Lastly, a "Persona 5" school bag which is based from a traditional Japanese school bag with a Shujin Academy crest, AnimeNewsNetwork reported.
Atlus added that the "Persona 5" anime special, "Persona 5 the Animation -The Day Breakers- will air on September, before the game's official launch in Japan. The anime special will recount the prologue story of the young thief organization at the center of the game.
There is also an orchestral concert called "Persona 20th Fes". It is a "immersive Persona cultural festival" in the style of high school festivals and it will be held on the Arts Chiyoda 3331 complex in Tokyo's Akihabara district. It will start on Aug. 13 until December to celebrate the game's 20th anniversary.
In other news, Atlus teased new details for "Persona 5" at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo on June 14-16. Atlus will be bringing alog Soijima in a guest appearance and will have Q&A session with the gaming fans. There will also be more guest appearance and events in the "Persona 5" both during the event, Gematsu reported.
"Persona 5" will focus on the a new protagonist who becomes a Phantom Thief and made his mission to steal the corrupted hearts dubbed "treasures" of several individuals and change the status qou of the world from its dark and corrupted influence.
The protagonist is joined by his friends Ryuji Sakamoto, Ann Takamaki, Yusuke Kitagawa,Makoto Niisshima, Futaba Sakura and Haru Okumura. They are guided by the mysterious talking cat, Morgana. The sequel will feature new weapons, personas for each character, "All Out Attacks", a stealth style feature called "Sneak" and several real life activities such as going school, working at part time jobs, riding the train etc.
"Persona 5" will launch on Sept. 15 in Japan and on Feb. 14 in North America for the PS4 and PS3 consoles.
