Tom Cruise 'brainwashed' by Scientology; Refuses to see Suri Cruise, Katie Holmes, uses filming as an excuse

Is Church of Scientology brainwashing Tom Cruise to stay away from Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise?

Tom Cruise has reportedly dedicated his entire life to the Church of Scientology that he is willing to abandon her daughter, Suri Cruise and ex-wife Katie Holmes. A new report revealed that the "Mission: Impossible" actor has not seen them for over 1,000 days, using his busy schedule as an excuse to not spend time with them.

An insider told In Touch Weekly, that Cruise has been banned from seeing Suri and Holmes because of Scientology's "disconnection" policy. The religion allegedly prohibits its members from interacting with those who have left the church, even if they were close family members.

At first, Cruise will reportedly try to keep his connection with Suri even through Skype and text. That, however, also soon ended to his daughter's disappointment. While he tries to come up with excuses, Holmes and Suri can see right through them.

"He uses his film commitments as an excuse, but the truth is that doesn't hold much weight with Suri anymore," the insider said.

A Scientology insider, however, told Page Six that Cruise can actually see Suri and Holmes if he really wanted to. It was pointed out that even prisoners had the privilege to see their children from time to time. Tony Ortega, owner of TheUndergroundBuner, a website dedicated to Scientology, argued that the religion already sees Holmes as an SP, suppressive person, and Suri as a PTS, potential trouble source. This could explain while Cruise was not spending time with her daughter as much as he wanted to.

Ortega, however, revealed that celebrity members of Scientology had the power to break the rules.

"But the thing about Scientology is, celebrities get to break all the rules. That's why I find this so mysterious."

In spite of not getting to spend as much time with her father, the publication held that Suri grew up having a normal life. Holmes made sure that she grew up comfortably, having everything she could possibly need. The insider added that it was actually Cruise who missed out.

"She's thriving. She's got lots of friends and a nice, normal life. This is his loss, his issue, his problem. He must be really brainwashed."
