The Church of Scientology has finally shared photos of its $145 million spiritual headquarters in Florida. The seven-story Flag Building, also known as the Super Powers building, is the tallest building in Clearwater when it opened in 2013.
According to Daily Mail, several photos of the secretive organization have been released online. The photos showed the church's libraries, study areas, donors area, and even a Grand Chapel used for wedding and name-giving ceremonies. In the fifth floor, the followers were reportedly charged thousands of dollars for courses which would give them "special abilities."
In 2013, church spokesman Ben Shaw explained that members may undergo a series of spiritual counseling sessions to "increase his perception, exercise his power of choice, and greatly enhance other spiritual abilities."
Scientologists were reportedly blindfolded and spun on an anti-gravity simulator to improve their 57 senses, including sight, smell, taste, blood circulation and awareness of awareness, called "perceptics."
The headquarters has a total of 889 rooms and 42 bathrooms. It also has a dining room which can sit up to 1,140 people and two kitchens.
The outlet reported that multiple celebrities, including Tom Cruise, John Travolta and Kirsty Alley has spent time at Clearwater. Travolta and Alley even chose to build home closer to the church.
According to Us Weekly, the "Mission: Impossible" actor was also planning to move to Florida, saying that he was inspired by Travolta. Sources close to Cruise said that he is tired of living in Los Angeles, adding that all people in Hollywood are fake. He recently put his Beverly Hills Mansion for sale for $59 million.
