Pop star Justin Bieber got into a street brawl with a guy much bigger than his size on June 8, Wednesday, after game 3 of the NBA Finals in Cleveland. It was yet not clear what prompted the scuffle.
According to footage obtained by TMZ, shortly after 11 p.m., the 22-year-old superstar shoved a much bigger man outside his hotel in downtown Cleveland. The unidentified man then lightly punched Bieber on the side of the head, so the singer came back with a hook to the man's face. Several onlookers jumped in to break up the fight while the "Sorry" singer was tackled to the ground.
Bieber was sporting Cleveland Cavaliers apparel at the time and was said to be in town to catch the game 3 of the NBA finals against the Golden State Warriors. The local police maintained that they did not receive any calls to the hotel and no arrests were made in this regard.
"Looks like hotel security may have broken something up. We did not respond," a rep for the police department told Us Weekly.
Later, Bieber was spotted hanging out with boxer Adrien Broner. The two went to The Barley House in Cleveland, where they arrived around 1:00 a.m. and left by 2 a.m.
The "Baby" hit maker later took to Instagram to let everyone know he is fine after the altercation. The post has since been deleted.
Meanwhile, Lamont Richmond from Cleveland posted a video on his Facebook page on June 9, Thursday, claiming to be the guy in the fight. Wearing a hoodie, he spoke to the camera, to declare that he was just been trying to get an autograph for his daughters when the singer started the brawl. The video has since been deleted.
This is not the first time that the singer has been in a physical fight in public. He famously ducked a blow from Orlando Bloom while in Ibiza in 2014 after the singer reportedly gotten close to the actor's wife Miranda Kerr.
The latest incident comes on the heels of Bieber's seemingly odd behavior, where he walked barefoot around Boston Public Commons. He also recently slammed awards shows, saying he does not "feel good" after performing at them.
