Verizon users of Samsung Galaxy Note Edge getting the Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 update

The design of Galaxy Note Edge is extremely superior and hence offers a great competition to the metallic exterior of Huawei.

The Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 update is rolling out for the Verizon users of Samsung Galaxy Note Edge. The build number of the update is VRU2CPD1.

Verizon is now releasing the Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 update to the users in a phased manner, according to its support page. It will eventually reach all the users in a couple of weeks.

Users can check their smartphones to see if they are eligible for the Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 update or not. To do so, they need to navigate on their devices to Settings> About Phone> Check for Software Update.

In case the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge user is prompted to download the latest Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 update then they need to first connect their device to a reliable and stable Wi-Fi connection. After that, they need to make sure that the battery level is greater than 50 percent else the device needs to be connected to a power source for an uninterrupted download experience.

The software version of the Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 update is MMB29M.N915VVRU2CPD1. It comes with the much-anticipated Ultra-High Quality Radio, which enhances the sound quality of any audio file drastically. It also comes with Android for Work, which is packed with a suite of features related to corporate utilities.

In May, the Android Marshmallow update was rolled out to the European users of Samsung Galaxy Note Edge. Later, the Canadian users on the Rogers network received the update. Now it is coming to the users in the United States.

Network carriers Sprint and AT&T were the first ones to roll out the Android Marshmallow update to Samsung Galaxy Note Edge. Later, T-Mobile also released the Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 update for its users, according to its support page.

Samsung Galaxy Note Edge comes with a Snapdragon 805 processor with Adreno 420 graphical processing unit with 3GB of RAM and a 5.6-inch HD display. It also has a battery of capacity 3,000 mAh, a primary camera of 16 MP and a secondary camera of 3.7 MP. It was released in Nov. 2014.
