'Tekken 7' PS4 release date set on early 2017; E3 2016 trailer features Heihachi vs Akuma, PC version confirmed [VIDEOS]

"Tekken" 7 release date is slated for early 2017 on Steam.

The latest details for "Tekken 7" will feature a 2017 release date for the PlayStation 4, a new E3 2016 trailer and a PC version.

Bandai Namco showcased a new trailer for "Tekken 7" during this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo event this week as the video features more in-dept story about the sequel's plot. The video opens with "Street Fighter's" Akuma entering a temple were Heihachi is sitting and meditating.

Akuma proclaimed that he will fulfill the debt he has with Kazumi Misihima, Heihachi's wife and Kazuya's mother as it was revealed in "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" that Kazumi helped Akuma at some point and has made a deal with her as payment. It seems that the deal Akuma made with Kazumi is to eliminate Heihachi and possibly Kazuya as well. Both fighters are evenly match as the cinematic scenes shifts into a gameplay video. Akuma in "Tekken 7" will have EX Gauge from "Street Fighter" as he does not have a Rage system like the Tekken characters.

The highlight of trailer features Akuma confronting Kazuya as the two will fight at some point within the game. The trailer ends with an early 2017 release date of "Tekken 7" for PS4, Xbox One and PC platform as well.

Bandai Namco stated in a press release that "Tekken 7" will feature new numerous game modes and enhancements not featured in the arcade versions including an epic Story Mode that enables players to fully experience the game's canon storyline, VG 24/7 reported.

The first hints of a PC version for "Tekken 7" started with an online survey which has been conducted by Harris Interactive on behaft of Bandai Namco as they asked gamers if they want to see the game in the PC platform.

Game producer Katsuhiro Harada teased the the possibility of a PC version for "Tekken 7" as he has been reading fan request on Twitter. Previous reports revealed that "Tekken 7" will not likely be a PS4 exclusive game as brand and community advisor Mark Julio cleared out the speculation and the sequel could be ported from other video game platforms such as Xbox One, PC and possibly in Nintendo's new console, Nintendo NX.

In fact, the new game trailer for "Tekken 7" is featured in the Xbox One console which confirms its inclusion, Gamerant reported. Game designer Michael Murray teased that "Tekken 7" will likely feature more guest characters in its roster. In addition, the return of "Tekken Bowl" and a new "Scenario Campaign" which features another Mishima family conflict.

The sequel will feature returning characters such as Jin, Kazuya, Heihachi, Hwoarang, Steve Fox, Asuka, Lili, Xiaoyu, Marshall Law, Paul Phoenix, King, Yoshimitsu, Bryan Fury, Feng Wei, Dragunov, Leo, Lars, Alisa and Nina Williams, along with new faces Claudio Serafino, Katarina Alves, Lucky Chloe, Josie Rizal, Jack-7, Gigas, Shaheen, Akuma and Kazumi Mishima.

"Tekken 7" will launch in early 2017 for the PS4, Xbox One and the PC platform.
