A cellphone video taken at a McDonald's store in St. Paul, Minnesota has gone viral on YouTube and has already garnered more than three million views. The video shows a violent altercation between a McDonald's employee and the overnight manager.
The overnight manager Brandon Robertson as seen on the video is trying to contain the 17-year-old employee as he was having an emotional breakdown. Robertson was just trying to calm down the employee and make him leave the store.
According to some report, the teen's outburst was due to the reason that he is having problems at home and needs to vent out some steam.
However, the most shocking part of the news was the Robertson was the one who got fired after the incident, according to local CBS news.
Based on the video posted on the video-sharing website, Robertson refrained from making any physical contact with the teenager.
Robertson said, "I feel like it was unfair because I did what I could. I mean, he's 17 years old. I would be in a jail as of right now if I would've put my hands on him."
The manager also added that he did not know what he was supposed to do since he was dealing with a minor. He asked help from other managers in order to call 911 but the teen has already left when the police arrived on the scene.
The owner of the McDonald's store where the incident happened has already issued an official statement apologizing to the customers present during the altercation. She added that the company will take appropriate action in order to address the matter.
