The latest details for "Spider-Man: Homecoming" will feature several Marvel characters that Donald Glover can portray in the movie, as well as Mary Jane Watson, Liz Allen and Ganke added to the cast.
It is announced earlier that "Community" star Donald Glover is added to the cast of "Spider-Man: Homecoming" joining the likes of Tom Holland, Marisa Tomei, Zendaya, Laura Harrier, Tony Revolori, Robert Downey Jr. and many more.
Glover's addition to the "Spider-Man: Homecoming" has been possible due the fan community as being the top choice to play Ultimate Spider-Man Miles Morales. Although the reports never revealed which character he was going to portray in the movie, Glover has been active about wanting to play Spider-Man in the big screen, thus speculating that fans would like the see him as Miles sharing the same room as Perter Parker/Spider-Man (Holland).
The only problem is that Glover is older than Holland and the plot of the film will involve a 15-year-old Peter Parker surviving high school life and his exploits as a superhero in New York. While the age difference are depicted, the creative team for the movie might exploit this as having a much older Miles Morales interacting with a young Peter Parker or Glover could play a different Marvel character in movie.
Some of the characters that Glover can portray in "Spider-Man: Homecoming" are Chameleon, Hobgoblin, The Prowler, The Jackal, Robbie Robertson, Eddie Brock, and even J. Jonah Jameson, ComicBookResources reported. However, it is also possible that Glover could portray a new character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
So far, it is unknown yet as to who will Glover play in "Spider-Man: Homecoming" and Marvel will likely reveal more soon.
In other news, three characters in the Spider-Man mythos will likely appear in "Spider-Man: Homecoming" as a rumored leak details for the film has been leaked via 4Chan post.
A Reddit user was able to post the rumored leaked plot details for "Spider-Man: Homecoming" and it is revealed that Mary Jane Watson and Liz Allen are included in the movie. Peter Parker will have "the hots" for Liz Allen during the movei and Mary Jane Watson will not likely appear yet until the end of the movie.
While the plot is considered to be unofficial, it seems that fans would like to see Peter Parker and Liz Allen together at some point as opposed to the more major love interest like Mary Jane Watson and Gwen Stacy. "The Duff" star Bella Thorne stated in an interview that she ruled out the role of Mary Jane Watson as she wanted to play a character similar to Deadpool.
Aside from Liz Allen and Mary Jane, "The Dark Tower" actor Michael Barbieri will be added to the film as one of Peter Parker's friends and his character is based on the Ultimate comics character Ganke, Heroic Hollywood reported. Ganke is the best friend of Miles Morales in the Ultimate comics and knows that he is the new Spider-Man.
The possible villains in "Spider-Man: Homecoming" could be Adrian Toomes/The Vulture (Michael Keaton) and is rumored that his suit will be made by The Tinkerer using Chitauri technology. Cameo appearances from both Iron Man (Downey) and Captain America(Chris Evans) are being hinted in the film.
"Spider-Man: Homecoming" will be release on July 7, 2017.
