The new gameplay trailer, which could be viewed below, showed the new gameplay features that players will be expecting when it gets released. This video game is a sequel to Cavia's action RPG from 2010. According to Eurogamer, this will follow the story of three androids named 2B, 9S, and A2 as they fight against evil robots.

The game company has also confirmed with Destructoid in an interview that they have delayed the release of the game sometime in early 2017. Producer Yosuke Saito said that they were worried about how it might compete against other triple A games that will be released ahead of the holiday season. They think that a winter or spring release would give the PlayStation 4 exclusive video game a better chance of being a success in a financial way.

Game director Yoko Taro spoke with Siliconera in an interview at E3 2016 that the game will have a happy ending. He has also confirmed that the races in the game franchise called the Gestalts and Replicants are finally separated for good. When the publication asked how the humans moved to the Moon after the events of the prequel, he only teased an answer that the answer will be revealed in the story of the upcoming game.

The upcoming video game was developed by Platinum Games that also made popular action hack and slash, shooter video games like Bayonetta and Vanquish. The combination of third-person hack and slash combat, bullet avoidance mechanic that was the main feature of the first game will be kept in this. Players will expect a lot of different enemy robots, different locations like deserts, ruins covered in greenery, and accessories like eye patches and masks.

It was also confirmed by Taro that the game will have a fishing mini-game. He teased that its mechanics will be a little different than the previous game had. Although it was not a popular mini-game of the game franchise, it was nice that the development team included it and decided to improve the experience.
