"Game of Thrones" star Sophie Turner has the chance to work with the Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Lawrence in "X-Men: Apocalypse." She felt so welcomed by Lawrence and by the other cast members though they were already established actors.
In a previous interview with Access Hollywood, the 20-year-old shared that she and "Game of Thrones" co-star Maise Williams were obsessed with the Hollywood actress. When they were in the SAG Awards, Lawrence came to her and said she loves their HBO show.
"Then she like hugged me and I turned around to Maisie and I was like, 'I can't. I can't speak.'," she told the entertainment news show. "And Maisie was like crying with me. It was crazy. We're such fangirls."
When working with the "Hunger Games" star in "X-Men: Apocalypse," Turner found Lawrence very sisterly. The latter helped her when she felt under the weather just like a big sister. She told Marie Claire magazine how down-to-earth the actress is despite being one of the world's famous stars.
Turner called the Kentucky-born actress, amazing and an inspiration to work with. Lawrence gave Turner some advice not only about acting but on other stuff as well, such as on how to de-bloat.
"She is exactly the same person you see in interviews...She was really fun, really cool. Hilarious!" Turner told Just Jared. She even shared a funny story about Lawrence punching her crotch because the multi-awarded actress thought Turner asked her to.
Turner also has close friends from "Game of Thrones." She enjoys being with Williams, who portrays Arya Stark, the younger sister of Turner's character, Sansa Stark; and Alfie Allen who portrays Theon Greyjoy. The trio would normally have a typical night out going to a bar to dance.
On the set of "Game of Thrones," Allen would play truth or dare with Turner. He had the actress stand next to the director to say "I'd kill for more screen time."
As for her character on the TV fantasy drama, Turner is happy of her progress in the series. The once naïve and vulnerable oldest Stark daughter has become a stronger person due to the hardships she has gone through. Turner is not affected at all by Sansa Stark's dark storylines, such as being raped by her sadistic husband Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon).
The following video plays the interview of Turner and Lawrence together with their "X-Men: Apocalypse" co-stars Oscar Isaac and James McAvoy.
