"Game of Thrones" Maisie Williams recently missed seeing her good friend and co-star Kit Harington in a stage play so she jumped on the first opportunity to make up with him. Upon hearing her friend on the air on BBC Radio 1 with host Nick Grimshaw, Williams immediately called in to apologize.
Harington appeared as a guest on the "Breakfast Show" on BBC Radio 1 to chat with Grimmy about his character in the HBO series, but not to give spoilers. They replayed a clip showing Harington lying on the "Jonathan Ross Show" that his character would not be part of the show anymore. As the actor was jokingly labelled an "epic liar," Williams interrupted.
Williams came in after the DJ worked on his board to let a "big fan" of Harington join them on air. She apologized for missing Harington in "Doctor Faustus" due to an ear infection.
Grimshaw teased Williams for not supporting a friend in the play. She jested, "I just thought that we were such good friends that he would understand, but clearly I misjudged this whole relationship."
The two "Game of Thrones" co-stars then detailed their next hangout session, much to the delight of Harington as he is saved from all the texts. They agreed that the 19-year-old actress will see Harington in his stage play with Sophie Turner, who portrays their other sister Sansa Stark in the HBO hit. series.
"Come on a Thursday night, no actually a Thursday or a Saturday," Harrington told Williams. He then realized they were chatting on air for everyone to hear.
Harrington and Williams are on-screen siblings and off-screen pals. Having worked together in the set of "Game of Thrones" has strengthened their friendship.
In the HBO drama series, Harington plays Jon Snow, the illegitimate child of Lord Eddard "Ned" Stark of the Winterfell, north of the fictional kingdom of Westeros. Snow is the half-brother of Arya Stark (Williams), the younger daughter of Ned who hates traditional female pursuits and is often mistaken as a boy because she is independent and headstrong. Harington's character perfectly fits the theory of Azor Ahai, the Promised Prince or legendary hero who will save the Seven Kingdoms, according to the Independent.
