Dragon Ball Super is a Japanese anime television series produced by Toei Animation that began airing on July 5, 2015.

Many questions have been raised since the "Future Trunks" of "Dragon Ball Super" (DBS) commenced on June 12. However, the initial reception clearly indicates that the arc is the best ever for the show.

With the revelation of Black Goku, fans have been guessing who he really is, from being an older and another version of Goten to a potential God of Destruction from another world, according to Honest Anime. There are reasons behind Black Goku being a God of Destruction or at least a Supreme Kai. In the first place, fans are aware that there were initially 18 universes and now there are only 12 left.

Six universes were destroyed and this is partly because of Black Goku. Furthermore, the Potara earring is not coincidental and this should be a huge giveaway. Only a God of Destruction has the potential to destroy an entire universe, something that supports fans' speculations.

Another relevant factor is that Black Goku is very reproachful when he fights Future Trunks. Although Black Goku resembles Goku, it is very unlikely that the former is a Saiyan in any conventional way.

A few other things as well point towards Black Goku being a God of Destruction. For instance, he has a thin stature besides holding his hands behind his back, something that is associated with the Kais and Gods of Destruction's general body language.

The first time fans are introduced to Black Goku, it is only a dark cloud glowing demonic red eyes to reveal his presence. This as well hints to fans that the character could be related to the Demons and he is possibly a Demon Realm Supreme Kai, particularly because Black Goku seems to use a dark for of ki.

With regard to other Future Trunks storylines, all bet are off and they appear to indicate major and significant changes to the "Dragon Ball" franchise, according to Forbes. It is evident that Black Goku is different from the first impression. While he may not be an older form of Goten, it is very likely that he has origins that are more sacred in the story.

As previously reported, the upcoming episode will have Black Goku facing off Goku, something that is worth waiting. Here is a sneak peek for further information on "Future Trunks Arc":
