There were rumors before that "Left 4 Dead 3" is going to be unveiled during the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2016; however, since Valve did not attend or release any details of the long awaited third installment in the said event, it is speculated that "Left 4 Dead 3" may now be unveiled early 2017.
It was way back in 2009 when Valve released "Left 4 Dead 2," and since then, the gaming company has not provided the fans with the third part of the zombie themed franchise. Despite of this, reports are loud that supporters of the game are still optimistic that the next part of their favorite game series is going to be available soon, MNR Daily reported.
According to the same publication, there may be a chance that the third installment of the "Left 4 Dead" game series is already under development. The report noted that Valve is now focusing on developing "Left 4 Dead 3" along with "Half Life 3." The report also cited the reason why "Half Life 3" got delayed, and it was said to be due to Valve's decision to concentrate on developing "Left 4 Dead 3." With all that said, speculations are pointing to a possibility that the long awaited sequel of the first person shooter game will be released by early next year.
On the other hand, while fans have to wait for the third installment of the "Left 4 Dead" game series, they may want to play "Left 4 Dead 2" on Xbox One. Recent news indicate that the game can now be played under the Xbox One platform through the backward compatibility feature. The report said that Microsoft had already confirmed the backward compatibility of Xbox One during the 2015 Electronic Entertainment Expo, Game N Guide has learned. It was also said that aside from "Left 4 Dead 2," other games such as "Portal 2," "Flashback," "Babel Rising" and "Brain Challenge" were included in the list of games playable on Xbox One.
Meanwhile, although Valve has remained quiet about the whole "Left 4 Dead 3" rumor, fans are saying that the game will be released by early next year, while "Half Life 3" is going to have a 2018 release date.
