Miss A's Bae Suzy and Kim Woo Bin star in the KBS 2TV drama 'Uncontrollably Fond.'

Actor Kim Woo Bin, 26, recently talked about competing with Lee Jong Suk, 26, in the ratings battle. Interestingly, both stars ended up in dramas, KBS2's "Uncontrollably Fond" and MBC's "W's," that would contend with each other for ratings.

At the press conference of the new drama "Uncontrollably Fond" held on July 4, Monday, Kim revealed that it was an honor to compete with Lee, Soompi reported. He added, "It's not every day that this happens, so we're supporting each other."

Kim and Lee are good friends and have worked together before on KBS's "School 2013." Both Kim and Lee also became actors after modeling and are the same age.

"Even this morning, I texted Lee Jong Suk that I was coming to a press conference and that I was nervous," The publication quoted Kim as saying during the show's press conference before a predominantly Korean crowd. "[Lee Jong Suk] was hard at work on the set. Jong Suk says everyone on the 'W' set is all about 'Uncontrollably Fond.'"

Kim will be acting with Bae Suzy in "Uncontrollably Fond," while Lee will act with Han Hyo Joo in "W." Both dramas are scheduled to premiere on July 20 at 10:00 PM (KST).

Lee's "W" is directed by PD Jung Dae-Yoon, based on a script written by Song Jae Jung. "W" is described as a romantic suspense melodrama that is set across various dimensions in Seoul, South Korea, crossing between the virtual reality and reality. In the drama, Lee will play the self-made young chaebol, Kang Cheol, who exist in the webtoon universe.

Kim's "Uncontrollably Fond," on the other hand, depicts the heartbreaking love story between Shin Joon Young (Kim) and No Eul (Suzy), who meet again after several years and are now already a top star and a documentary producer, respectively. Helmed by Park Hyun Suk, with a screenplay by Lee Kyoung Hee, the melodrama is said to be fully pre-produced and has finished filming on April 12.

Kim further revealed that he gets support from his better half, actress Shin Min Ah and Suzy's boyfriend, Lee Min Ho. He added, "Every time a teaser came out, [Shin Min Ah] would give me support. She's very much looking forward to the drama. I'm also close with Lee Min Ho, and he contacts me to cheer me on as well."

The drama's ensemble cast members and its unique plot have been keeping the excitement and anticipation of the fans in check. The drama is slated to be aired on Thailand, Taiwan, Vietnam and Philippines, Star News reported. Check out the video below:
