It is expected that the “Teen Wolf” Season 6 release date will be unveiled at the San Diego Comic Con.

The cast of "Teen Wolf" and showrunner Jeff Davis has been confirmed to join the San Diego Comic Con this July 21. This will be an opportunity for the show to dish details about the highly-awaited sixth Season 6, as well as confirmation about Dylan O'Brien's appearance.

There has been a lot of rumors going regarding the production of "Teen Wolf" Season 6. For one, fans have been wondering if O'Brien will be able to reprise his role as Stiles Stilinski, considering he is still recovering from a serious injuries he obtained while filming "The Maze Runner: The Death Cure."

According to O'Brien's publicist, it turns out that the actor's injuries, which include a "concussion, facial fracture and lacerations," is worse than expected, and he needs more time to recover. Meanwhile, the production for the third "The Maze Runner" movie has been temporarily shut down for an indefinite period.

O'Brien's presumed absence gave birth to a flurry of rumors, including the obsessed-over rumor that One Direction member Harry Styles was being considered to play the new "British kid" in Beacon Hills.

The show has since struck down rumors about Styles' casting and assured fans that O'Brien remains a core part of the show.  As a matter of fact, Davis revealed that Stiles and Lydia's relationship will be a focal point in "Teen Wolf" Season 6.

"Something big happens in the very first episode of Season 6 between Stiles and Lydia, which you'll have to tune in to see," he told TV Line.

Moreover, a 15-second teaser released after the Season 5 finale aired on MTV showed Stiles, in what appears to be a grim hospital room. This is said to be a foreboding of the nightmarish events that's still to come in the upcoming season and a hint of Stiles' appearance.

As to the "Teen Wolf" panel at the upcoming San Diego Comic Con, MTV reported an exclusive first-look at the season 6 trailer. The "Teen Wolf" cast actively participated in the event in previous years and the main cast members always showed up. Would O'Brien be fit enough by July 21 to join the group?

Additionally, fans will have the opportunity to get autographs from the cast of "Teen Wolf" and receive official merchandise such as "Teen Wolf" fangs and posters.

Unlike previous "Teen Wolf" seasons, the sixth outing was not able to make it to the show's usual June premiere date. However, it is expected that the "Teen Wolf" Season 6 release date will be unveiled at the San Diego Comic Con.
