Jim Carrey's ex-girlfriend, Cathriona White, wrote the actor a suicide note before she died of an overdose in September 2015.

Jim Carrey's ex-girlfriend Cathriona White was found dead due to an overdose in September 2015 shortly after he broke up with her, left a suicide note revealing that she was brokenhearted and did not have the will to "put the pieces back."

Official documents obtained by People showed that the suicide note, addressed to Carrey, had been found on White's bedside table.  In her note, White said that she "spent three days in disbelief" over the breakup and that she was sorry the actor felt she was not there for him.  She said she tried to give him her best part.  She then wrote that she was "just not for this world" and signed her letter off with the nickname "Dewdrop."

White's note also left Carrey in charge of her funeral arrangements, saying that he is her family so whatever he chooses will be fine.  She also requested that her belongings be sold and given to her family.

According to autopsy and toxicology reports, various prescription pills, including Zofran, Percocet, Ambien and propranol, were found in White's system at the time of her death.  The reports also noted that these meds appeared to have belonged to Carrey.  This after officers found a text message from the actor on White's phone wherein he asked where his painkillers and prescription anti-inflammatories were.  In his text, Carrey noted that his pills were missing from under his sink.

White had also been taking her own painkillers in the weeks leading to her overdose, TMZ reported.  These meds were prescribed to her after she underwent a surgical procedure.

TMZ also recounted that White had already attempted to overdose on pills in 2012 after her father's death and noted that her suicide took place on his third death anniversary.

Carrey, 53, and White met at the set of a film in 2012 and had dated on and off since then.  Dennis Bradshaw, a friend of the then 28-year-old Irish make-up artist, told officers that White described her relationship with the actor as a "rollercoaster" and that she was "madly in love" with him.  Bradshaw also said that while White was a normally happy person, she was prone to feeling really down.

After White's death, Carrey issued a statement saying that he was deeply saddened by her passing, adding that she was a "kind and delicate Irish flower" who was "too sensitive for this soil."
