The latest details and possible spoilers for "The Flash" will feature three female actresses for the role of Iris West and the film's release date schedule could be changed.
It seems that three actresses are vying for the role of Barry Allen/The Flash's (Ezra Miller) love interest Iris West in Scarlet Speedster's new solo film. Several news sources hinted that these three women who are being linked for the role are "Dope" actress Kiersey Clemons, "Sing Street" Lucy Boynton and British singer and actress Rita Ora.
Clemon's previously worked with "The Flash" director Rick Famuyiwa's during the filming of "Dope" and he breakout performance on the said film has risen her to stardom as she starred in several films like "Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising" and "Flatliners", Variety reported.
The official The Hollywood Reporter Twitter page tweeted that both Ora and Boynton are also being picked for the female lead role in "The Flash" movie. Ora played the character Christian Grey's sister Mia in "Fifty Shades of Grey" film and will reprise her in two of its sequels "Fifty Shades Darker" and Fifty Shades Freed".
Boynton on the other hand, is been known for her role in the musical "Sing Street" and has recently finished production on"Rebel in the Rye", an upcoming J.D. Slinger biopic.
Iris West in "The Flash" movie is described as the best friend and love interest of Barry with Christiane Amanpour’s brains and Carrie Bradshaw’s style. Just like in the comics she is a reporter at the Central City Citizen.
In other news, several rumors are making rounds that "The Flash" movie release date will likely change as as Warner Bros. recently announced that the "Tomb Raider" film remake will be scheduled to be release in March 16, 2018, which also happens to be the same launch date as the film.
Warner Bros. will likely make the decision to change "The Flash" movie release date for for business reasons since they are part of the same production. It is unknown yet if Warner Bros. will decide to changed the film's release date or retain its original spot, Screenrant reported.
The Flash will appear first in "Justice League" on Nov. 17, 2017, and his solo film is on March 16, 2018.
