Bayley laughs during a segment of The Edge and Christian Show on the WWE Network.

Former NXT women's champion Bayley finally made her main roster debut at WWE Battleground when she teamed up with Sasha Banks to defeat Charlotte and Dana Brooke. However, the latest rumors imply that Bayley may not be staying on the main roster permanently.

Many wrestling fans were upset that Bayley was not drafted at the WWE Draft because she is more than ready to be on the main roster. The WWE knew what they were doing and made her debut much more special at Battleground.

The 27-year-old wrestler received a thunderous pop from the Washington, D.C. crowd with Banks and Charlotte cannot help but smile as the final NXT horsewoman gets her moment. But it might not last because Bayley said in a post-match interview that it is "one-time thing."

According to What Culture, The Hugger confirmed that she is not going to be on the WWE main roster. She mentioned that her current goal is to become a two-time NXT women's champion by defeating Asuka.

It is sad news for Bayley's fans but the WWE has a reason to let her stay in NXT. The company has not found her replacement and they are scouting the globe to find the next great female superstar. For the meantime, Bayley is still an NXT star and she will not be part of the main roster.

On the other hand, Nick Schwartz of FOX Sports gave some possible scenarios regarding what's next for Bayley. The former NXT women's champion is expected to challenge Asuka for the title at "NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II" next month. If she regains the championship, she will likely be on NXT for a longer period.

That scenario will lead to her being selected for next year's draft. However, it is a very long time to wait and she is more than ready for the bright lights of either Monday Night Raw or SmackDown Live.

The next scenario is Bayley forming a Mega Powers-like partnership with Banks, who is the current WWE Women's champion. They can take over the women's division on Raw before facing each other at WrestleMania 33.

And the final scenario has Bayley going to SmackDown to strengthen the brand's women's division. Nevertheless, she is expected to remain in NXT for at least until SummerSlam.
