'Kingdom Hearts 3' rumors: Xehanort, Eraqus to become playable characters; Square Enix shared new combat system details!

Kingdom Hearts 3 is an action-RPG developed by Square Enix for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles. It is considered the third title of the Kingdom Hearts game series.

New "Kingdom Hearts 3" details will feature new combat system for the sequel and Keyblade masters Xehanort and Eraqus to become playable characters.

Square Enix revealed new details regarding the new combat system features in "Kingdom Hearts 3" as the game's co-directot Tai Yasue told GamesBeat that the game developers are experimenting on having how the combat system in the sequel works.

Yasue stated that the magical points system has "worked well", but was hesitant to rehash similar aspects moving forward. Using magic spells, Square Enix wants to have different meanings into it, for instance when casting Blizzard, it creates a place where the player can ice skate from the ground. Square Enix wanted the magic to interact with the environment in "Kingdom Hearts 3".

Aside from the enhance combat system, Yasue also roots out the storytelling of "Kingdom Hearts 3" and compared it to the previous titles and hinted that Disney worlds are the prime component for the game. Sadly, he stated that there will not be any Final Fantasy worlds in the sequel.

In other news, it seems that two Keyblade masters will act as playable characters in "Kingdom Hearts 3" as game director Tetsuya Nomura told Famitsu (via MovieNewsGuide) that game will have a prologue storyline featuring the younger versions of Eraqus and Xehanort.

The two Keyblade masters were featured in the E3 2015 gameplay trailer of "Kingdom Hearts 3" as the two are playing chest while discussing the story of the Keyblade wars, the lost masters and their key part in starting the war in the first place.

Sqaure Enix teased that the gameplay from the "Birth by Sleep 0.2" will be a preview of the gameplay style in "Kingdom Hearts 3" and Nomura clears out that the story of the prologue is not a scrapped content in the sequel. It was originally part of "Kingdom Hearst 3" however, Nomura decided to cut the content from the game as he does not want to slow the pacing of the plot with many backstories.

There are also rumors that more game details for "Kingdom Hearts 3" will be revealed during the "Kingdom Hearts" concert tour. The sequel will feature disney worlds from "Hercules", "Big Hero 6" and "Tangled", while other rumored worlds such as "Frozen", "Wreck-it Ralph", "Brave", "Toy Story" and many more are being considered.

"Kingdom Hearts 3" is speculated to be release on 2017 for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
