New "Kingdom Hearts 3" updates will feature possible details of the sequel at "Kingdom Hearts" concert, its absence during E3 2016 and the addition of Marvel and Star Wars worlds.
Square Enix teased new game details regarding "Kingdom Hearts 3" at the upcoming "Kingdom Hearts" concert tour starting on August. The first show called "Kingdom Hearts Concert -First Breath-" and it will take place exclusively within Japanese venues such as Tokyo, Aichi and Osaka. Fans outside of Japan who want to watch the "Kingdom Hearts" concert will have to wait from March to June next year as the tour will be held in France, England, Singapore, China and the United States.
Game director Tetsuya Nomura announced that the concert tour will celebrate the 15th Anniversary of "Kingdom Hearts" game franchise and will compile several videos from past games and will be featured in the concert. Square Enix might present more game information for "Kingdom Hearts 3" during the concert as to keep fans excited about the game, Polygon reported.
In other news, Square Enix also revealed their reasons for not showcasing "Kingdom Hearts 3" during this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo event as the game's co-director Tai Yasui told VentureBeat that it was due to the lack of marketing material for the third instalment and that Square Enix is currently focused on developing "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue".
Yasue added that it was difficult decision in their part to not showcase any new details of "Kingdom Hearts 3" since the "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 FInal Chapter Prolgue" is scheduled to launch on December. Square Enix is currently developing both games at the same time.
Lastly, it seems that Square Enix will likely add Marvel and Star Wars worlds to "Kingdom Hearts 3" as Yasue teased that the two franchises could be featured in the game likely have to go through several procedures in order to gain the licensed rights, even though they are owned by Disney.
Square Enix confirmed that there will be no "Final Fantasy" worlds in the game as they felt that fans could relate more to the game if they only use Disney worlds. So far, worlds from "Hercules", "Tangled" and "Big Hero 6" have already been confirmed in the game, while other rumored worlds such as "Frozen", "Zootopia", "Wreck-it Ralph", "Toy Story", "Brave" etc. are still being considered.
"Kingdom Hearts 3" is speculated to be release on 2017 for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
