Red Dead Redemption is an open world, western action-adventure video game developed by Rockstar San Diego and published by Rockstar Games.

It was way back in 2010 when Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive released the open-world, western action-adventure video game, "Red Dead Redemption." Since it was already six years ago, recent reports are pointing to a possibility that the sequel of the game is going to be announced at the Gamescom 2016 event.

According to Christian Times, the long anticipated "Red Dead Redemption 2" might finally be revealed on August during the Gamescom event. The source pointed the rumor that Rockstar Games and Take-Two Interactive has already decided to make an announcement about the video game on the said gaming event.

The same report also cited that "Red Dead Redemption 2" was nowhere to be found during the recent Electronic Entertainment Expo 2016, which is why fans are very excited after hearing the rumors that the sequel is going to be out at the Gamescom 2016. The publication did also note the confirmation of the games distributor, Take-Two Interactive, that it will be present at the event in Germany.

On the other note, despite of the hype that "Red Dead Redemption 2" might finally come out this year, a report on Express cited the contrary. The report said that Take-Two Interactive has already revealed its schedule for the financial year. Unfortunately, the sequel is said to be not included in the list.

However, fans are still very much optimistic that "Red Dead Redemption 2" will have a 2016 release date. Sources also said that even if "Red Dead Redemption 2" will not be launched this year, fans are saying that a confirmation from Rockstar or Take-Two Interactive that the game is in development would be enough for them to hang on.

As of the moment, neither Rockstar Games nor Take-Two Interactive have yet to officially confirm that "Red Dead Redemption 2" is in development.
