"The Flash" season 3 just cast its newest villain named Savitar.
According to IGN, Savitar first appeared in the 1995 comic book story and was described as a Cold War pilot whose plane got struck by lightning. This resulted in him getting speedster powers. After which, Savitar decided to name himself after the Hindu God Savitr and he did everything he could to hone his superpowers. One of his superpowers involves healing any injury within seconds.
A few years later, Savitar gained a huge following, and each one of them was focused on severing the ties of the world's speedsters to the Speed Force.
As of late, the villainous character hasn't been cast yet, but fans already have tons to say about the new villain in the hit The CW series. Just recently, it was also confirmed at the 2016 San Diego Comic Con that Dr. Alchemy will be introduced as "The Flash" season three's biggest villain.
One fan claimed that there really was no need to introduce Savitar in "The Flash" season 3 because the character already had tons of similarities with Zoom. Other fans also want to make sure that Savitar is just a secondary villain, and Dr. Alchemy is really the one that will torment Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and the residents of Central City.
"Ok, I don't think that the other Speedster will be the main villain. But a huge element in the series. Dr. Alchemy will be the main villain for the second half," a fan wrote.
Meanwhile, other fans also expressed their desire to see Captain Boomerang in "The Flash" season 3. Unfortunately, there is still no word yet about the villainous character's involvement in the TV show.
"The Flash" season 3 will premiere on The CW on Oct. 4 at 8 p.m. ET.
