NetherRealm Studios confirmed the development of "Injustice 2" for the PS4, Xbox One and possibly for the PC.

The latest details for "Injustice 2" will feature the four new DC characters added to the roster and the possibility of another "Mortal Kombat" character in the sequel.

"Mortal Kombat" creator Ed Boon teased gaming and comic book fans of four new DC character added to the growing roster of "Injustice 2" as he tweeted a poll asking fans which version of the Red Hood do they want to see in the sequel.

The interesting part about his tweet is that he featured two versions of the Red Hood character; the man who became the Joker and the second Robin Jason Todd. When results of the poll came in, 81 percent of the fans voted for Jason Todd to be added to the roster, while 19 percent came from The Joker. Jason Todd adopted the mantle of Red Hood after his resurrection. In a stroke of irony, Jason use the Red Hood name to gain revenge on the Joker and branding his own form of "justice" by using guns and killing criminals much to the disapproval of Batman.

Aside from Red Hood, Boon made another character poll for the fans as Starfire, John Constantine and Black Manta are one of three characters that fans will vote for "Injustice 2". 43 percent of the vote goes to Starfire, while 32 percent goes to John Constantine and 25 percent goes to Black Manta, EventHubs reported.

Black Manta is featured in the Atlantis stage in "Injustice 2", while Constantine and Starfire have been rumored and hinted to be part of thr sequel's roster.

So far, the roster of "Injustice 2" consist of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Supergirl, Blue Beetle, Gorilla Grodd and Atrocitus.

In other news, it seems that another "Mortal Kombat" character will have a guest appearance in "Injustice 2" very soon.

NetherRealm Studios will likely plan to have a guest fighter in "Injustice 2" as Boon told Game Informer that there is a certain novelty into it and there is a certain amount of people who think that when they see a guest character that it took the slot of a DC character that they wanted to have.

Boon cited Scorpion's guest appearance in the first "Injustice", which became the most downloaded character of them all, not to mention the popularity of Alien and Predator inn"Mortal Kombat X" which made the game more interesting.

The plot of "Injustice 2" will take place after the first game as Batman tries to rebuild the world after Superman's One Earth Regime, while at the same time stopping the Man of Steel's loyalist in breaking him out of his Red Sun prison, unaware that an even greater threat is coming to earth.

NetherRealm Studios has not yet announced an official release date for "Injustice 2" for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but it is speculated to launch on March 2017.
