New "Kingdom Hearts 3" details will feature the sequel having an episodic style game treatment and will the sequel be the conclude the "Kingdom Hearts" franchise.
Several rumors are making rounds regarding the story treatment of "Kingdom Hearts 3" as game director Tetsuya Nomura tease that the sequel will have an episodic release for the game. He told Famitsu (via Gamepur) that idea of an episodic style release came up due to the fact that the scale of "Kingdom Hearts 3's" story will be huge and Nomura is overwhelmed about it.
Although he expressed his fear in to having an episodic release as it might ruin the tempo of "Kingdom Hearts 3's" storyline. Nomura also teased a an online multiplayer feature as he has been hinting clues from past interviews, though nothing concrete is being confirmed to date.
In other news, "Kingdom Hearts 3" could be the last chapter in the "Kingdom Hearts 3" as it marks the end of Sora's journey into saving the world from the Xehanort and his new Organization XIII and stop there plan from spreading darkness into the light, GameNGuide reported.
Although several reports revealed that Square Enix will likely continue to make more "Kingdom Hearts" games as co-director Tai Yasue teased a "Kingdom Hearts" collection in the worlds for the PlayStation 4 very soon.
Yasue added that "Kingdom Hearts 3" will not feature any "Final Fantasy" worlds and will add more Disney worlds soon. He stated that having Disney worlds in the sequel can be easily recognizable for players and Square Enix will implement several features for each world.
Three worlds are already confirmed based on Disney films such as "Hercules", "Big Hero 6" and "Tangled", while other Disney films such as "Frozen", "Wreck-it Ralph", "Toy Story", "The Jungle Book", "Zootopia" and many more are still being considered.
There is also a possibility that Marvel and Star Wars worlds will be added in "Kingdom Hearts 3" as multiple sources speculated that the cancellation of "Disney Infinity" could be the window Square Enix needed to get the licensed rights of both franchises since the two are owned by Disney.
Square Enix is testing out new features in the combat system of "Kingdom Hearts 3". Yasue stated that the magical points system has "worked well", but was hesitant to rehash similar aspects moving forward.
Using magic spells, Square Enix wants to have different meanings into it, for instance when casting Blizzard, it creates a place where the player can ice skate from the ground. Square Enix wanted the magic to interact with the environment in "Kingdom Hearts 3". The Japanese game developers are solely focused on the development and promotion of "Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue", which is scheduled to be released on December for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles
"Kingdom Hearts 3" is speculated to be release on 2017 for the PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
