'Final Fantasy XV' rumors: PS4 release date changed; New DLC to feature Ignis, Gladiolus, Prompto as playable characters!

Final Fantasy XV is an action-RPG video game developed by Square Enix for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles.

New "Final Fantasy XV" details will feature Ignis, Gladiolus and Prompto as playable characters in new DLCs and release date of the sequel changed.

Several rumors are making rounds regarding "Final Fantasy XV" release date as Square Enix hinted that the game will be delayed from its intended launch of Sept. 30. According to Gamenesia (via Gamerant) the Sept. 30 launch will pushed back to Nov. 29 and GameStop's management confirmed an official statement by Square Enix.

Gamenesia’s GameStop source revealed that promotional materials for "Final Fantasy XV" with the new date have arrived at some stores instructing locations that they are not to be displayed until after Sunday, Aug.14. So far, Square Enix has not given the real reason for the sudden change of releas date for "Final Fantasy XV" as eager fans were eager to get the game in its original launch of Sept. 30.

Not to mention the fans disappointment for the delayed release date could result in some gamers cancelling their physical and digital pre-orders of "Final Fantasy XV" out of frustration. The digital pre-order bonuses for "Final Fantasy XV" will be available on the PS4 and Xbox One consoles which includes the Masamune sword, an Angler Set for fishing, the 16-bit Buddies car skin a Camera Kit and the Platinum Leviathan skin.

PS4 owners also get the “Big Bang” theme, a mini soundtrack, and another theme with the working title of “Digital Premium Edition Original Theme”, while Xbox One owners get a male and female Noctis Avatar outfit and a Carbuncle avatar pet instead.

In other news, New DLC updates will feature Noctis' friends Ignis, Gladiolus and Prompto as playable characters.

Square Enic announce several DLC packs which contains character episodes for Ignis, Gladiolus and Prompto. Gladiolus will featured in "Episode Gladiolus" in DLC 2, while Ignis will be in "Episode Ignis" in DLC 4 and Prompto in "Episode Prompto" on DLC 5.

In addition to the character episodes, there is also the "Booster Pack", which contains certain powerful weapons when starting "Final Fantasy XV. The "Holiday Pack" will feature a wonderful item pack that will make the game even flashier and an "Online Expansion Pack" will let gamers play a different feel of the sequel, Gematsu reported.

Previos reports revealed that game director Hajime Tabata will likely have plans on having "Final Fantasy XV" on the PS4 Neo and Xbox Scorpio, however, the chances of having the sequel in the Nintendo NX is somewhat slim and the PC version is still under consideration by Square Enix.

"Final Fantasy XV" will launch on Nov. 29 for PS4 and Xbox One consoles.
