"Hey guys! So, this is a new song that I wrote called 'Gossip Girl.' It's really just about someone who - I feel like all of us have encountered at least once in our lives. And just someone that like earned your trust and you told them your secrets and stuff and just kinda let it out to everyone," she said.

The more than three-minute video has already earned more than 200,000 views.

Meanwhile, Vanderwaal also shared another video of her original song "The Good Just Gets Better" that she posted on YouTube on Aug. 15. The more than four-minute video has already received more than 350,000 views.
