Scott Eastwood has opened up about how the tragic death of one of his girlfriends continues to affect him to this very day.
"The Longest Ride" actor, who graces the cover of GQ Australia in their September/October issue, revealed during a candid interview with the magazine that his girlfriend died in a car crash and her loss left him so heartbroken that he still finds it difficult to date other women.
"I dated a girl a couple of years ago who died in a car accident," Eastwood told the publication. "The f----d up thing is, it was a fender bender, and there was a recall on airbags. Her airbag exploded. It shot a projectile through her body. It split her spine, and...I've never told anybody that."
The 30-year-old son of actor/director Clint Eastwood added that he has lost loved ones in the past but has never had to mourn the death of someone he shared an intimate relationship with. He admitted that he still has not found it in himself to call his late girlfriend's father because he just cannot find the right words.
Scott did not reveal the girl's name but said that her passing still affects him in a way, because of which he finds it difficult to date other women. Even though the actor has previously dated Taylor Swift and been romantically linked with Nina Dobrev, Adriana Lima, Jana Kramer and Brittany Brousseau, he is currently single, according to People.
The up-and-coming star pointed out that it's very easy to fall in love at a young age and the feelings and emotions that come with it can go away just as quickly as they arise.
Scott will next be seen in Olivier Stone's drama/thriller "Snowden" alongside Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Shailene Woodley.
