Rumors saying that Scott Eastwood will play Wonder Woman's love interest, Steve Tremor, are now confirmed as untrue.
Following the report that film helmer Michelle MacLeren is not pushing through her directorship over Warner Bros. and DC's "Wonder Woman" due to "creative differences," it is confirmed recently that Eastwood will not be playing Tremor, the man that capture the heart of the Amazon princess, as per Variety.
Warner Bros. is currently in its pre-production phase, arranging the character roles for the upcoming film. On Monday, the studio will test four actors for the role of Trevor. The names of the four actors have not been mentioned so fans will have to wait for further announcement and updates.
"The Longest Ride" actor Eastwood was reported to reunite with his "Fury" director David Ayer last month during the casting of the villain film "Suicide Squad," as per Cinema Blend.
It was not mentioned previously that Eastwood sign up as part of "Wonder Woman" cast, but he was reported to play a minor role in the anti-hero film as Trevor along with as boxer-actor Raymond Olubowale as King Shark. Following "Suicide Squad," it was also rumored that the actor will have a larger role in the solo movie "Wonder Woman."
At this point, Warner Bros. is in the process of looking for a new film helmer to take the director's chair while the test offers for the male lead push through. The studio has not given exact plot details as well as additional cast for the film.
"Fast and Furious 7" actress Gal Gadot is still to play the titular role. She will first appear in Zack Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," along with Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, and Ray Fisher. The actress will also reprise her role in "The Justice League: Part One" in 2017 and "Justice League: Part two" in 2019.
"Wonder Woman" is slated to premiere on June 23, 2017.
