Pokemon Go has received much attention from both players and hackers due to its popularity. In fact, there have been many hacks and tricks online that gamers use to exploit the hit mobile game. However, Niantic Labs is well aware of the hacks and it is dedicated to implement a fair gameplay in Pokemon Go.

Latest reports suggest that Pokemon Go players will find it hard to cheat when playing the game since the developer is gearing up to introduce a captcha in the game's security feature. Niantic Labs already began banning cheaters, but the move has made little impact to the committed hackers, according to BGR. Therefore, the game developer is going a notch higher to ensure that Pokemon Go fraud stops.

The captcha feature will reportedly block gamers from cheating in the gameplay. The feature is meant to encourage gamers to play fairly as opposed to using third-party apps or robots to manipulate the game.

While Niantic is yet to deploy the captcha feature, they are still into it. As soon as the feature is enabled, Pokemon Go players will no longer be allowed to use third-party services.

Similarly, it is still unclear whether the captcha security feature will affect the mapping trackers. In case Niantic will only utilize the feature when players spin a PokeStop or try to capture a Pokemon, the third-party maps may not be affected.

If the game developer wants to eliminate all cheating and hacks, they could make their way around it and release the captcha the moment there is any kind of suspicion. Doing this will somehow have an impact on the Pokemon Go maps.

Steven Bartell, one of the hackers behind Insta-PokeGo acknowledged that the captcha feature would be hard to crack, according to Business Insider. The hacker announced that they are shutting down the Insta-PokeGo website, which gamers rely on to catch 3.3 million Pokemon in less than one week to ensure that players who utilize the tool are not banned.

The captcha feature may not be the end for cheating since hackers always find a way around it. It has become a cat and mouse game between cheaters and Niantic Labs.
