'Final Fantasy VII Remake' is an upcoming video game remake, developed and published by Square Enix, of the original 1997 PlayStation role-playing video game by Square.

New details for "Final Fantasy 7" remake will feature a 2017 release date, an appearance on the PSX 2016 event and a multi-series plans for the game.

Several rumors are making rounds that Square Enix plans to reveal more game details during the PSX 2016 event on December as new leak information regarding the possible release date for the remake.

According to Reddit username MajorBlaze1, he received an email from Amazon confirming his pre-order details for "Final Fantasy 7" remake with a Dec. 29, 2017 placeholder. This comes as no surprise for the gaming fans as a 2017 launch sounds more plausible and realistic as opposed to a 2016 release.

The gaming fans further agreed on the Reddit forum that December 2017 makes more of a placeholder date as they commonly think that the release could push back to 2018, at the latest.

In other news, its seems that Square Enix will push through with episodic style release of "Final Fantasy 7" remake as game producer Yoshinori Kitase stated that "Final Fantasy" may feature characters and a plot from the Compilation content with less important characters not present in the new version. The visuals and graphics of the "Final Fantasy 7" remake will also be enhanced as well.

Square Enix wanted to structure "Final Fantasy 7" remake the same way they did with "Final Fantasy XIII" instead of an episodic style release. Kitase added that each part of the "Final Fantasy 7" remake will be a full-scale game, meaning, that every installment may tell the story from a different perspective, Gameinformer reported.

Game director Tetsuya Nomura stated that that they are preparing the game for a big info reveal, instead of releasing small bits and pieces every now and then.

While Square Enix did not elaborate any further details about "Final Fantasy 7" remake, the lack of updates has kept gaming fans guessing especially as to when the remake will launch and will it be ported other gaming platforms.

Nomura added that "Final Fantasy 7" remake is still in the early development stages and added that it will quite awhile before the game to be complete. Nomura and Square Enix will personally announced the following updates about the game very soon. There are also rumors that a bundle version of "Final Fantasy 7" remake could launch on 2019.

"Final Fantasy 7" remake is speculated to launch sometime in 2017 for the PlayStation 4 as it marks the 20th Anniversary of the game.
